Photograph - 'On Board Hospital Ship', Private John Lord, World War I, 1915, Black and white photographic print showing passengers on the HMHS Devanha - the last hospital ship to leave the Dardanelles (Gallipoli) for Egypt in 1915. The inscription states that the 'light cases' were kept on deck whilst the beds were reserved for the more serious cases. The voyage lasted three days. Attached to a small notebook used as a photograph album
