Photograph - Kodak, 'Duchess of York and Lady Davidson', 1927, Black and white photograph of the Duchess of York and Lady Davidson sitting on deck chairs on board a ship. The Duke and Duchess of York (later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth) visited Australia in 1927 where they attended the opening of Parliament House in Canberra. Sir Walter Davidson was the governor of New South Wales and it is likely that the Lady Davidson in this image is his wife.
