French Rococo artist Charles Francois Hutin (1715-1776) received his education at the Académie Royale under Francois Lemoine. After his studies, he left, with his father, for Rome, where, on the advice of Jean-Francois de Troy, the new director of the French Academy, he began sculpting. In 1742 he returned to Paris.
