Portrait of a Woman, Oil on wood, 38 1/2 x 30 in. (97.8 x 76.2 cm), Paintings, Italian (Florentine) Painter (mid-16th century), The architectural setting and aristocratic mien of the sitter are clearly dependent on the work of Bronzino, who established the norm of portraiture in granducal Medicean Florence. The picture has been ascribed to Bronzino's gifted contemporary Francesco Salviati and, more plausibly, to Michele di Ridolfo Tosini (1503–1577), who participated in the decorations for the entry of Emperor Charles V in Florence in 1539 and later painted portraits of the entourage of Duke Cosimo de'Medici
