At the beginning of the Middle Kingdom, high provincial officials were buried there in considerable rock tombs overlooking the Nile. The figures depicted on the two friezes, originally facing each other, are bearers of offerings, who once approached a niche in the statue, where the image of the tomb owner was placed or painted on the wall. The figures carry or bring food and animals for slaughter, which are necessary to feed the deceased in the afterlife: Bull's legs, geese, baskets, pedestals with food, and small sacrificial tables with cakes, fruits, bread, milk and wine. The bringer of offerings on the far left drives a gazelle in front of him, which was very popular with the Egyptians as an offering animal. In front of another gift-bringer, who approaches from the left, runs a cow. Its neck is pierced, which proves that the animal was killed 'magically' after the relief was made. The figure behind the gazelle also shows deliberate antique damage. In an upper relief band, only a few remnants of which are preserved in the right frieze, the grave owner sat on a dark stool with lion legs and supervised the bringing of food. Next to him - in the picture below the stool - his daughter Merit is sitting. The figures are named in writing; a longer hieroglyphic inscription names the grave owner.
