The Sacrifice of Isaac, On an uneven ground, Abraham stands to the left, with legs spread and right arm raised, behind Isaac, who is crouched with his back to him, arms crossed, and with one knee on the ground, and whose blindfolded head he presses down with his left hand. To the left of Isaac is the altar, on which a fire burns and in front of which a lamb with bound legs lies. Between Abraham's spread feet a bunch of branches; on his raised right wrist the fingers of the lost angel.
