Prince Maurits makes together with a group friends a trip on the beach from Scheveningen to Petten in the sailing wagon built by Simon Stevin, April-May 1602. In the middle the prince sits among his friends in the large wagon. Below this is a stone tablet with an inscription in Latin (the dedication). On the right a small sailing wagon, probably a prototype, with a few people on board. On the beach spectators, fishermen and two riders. The large cartouches here are still blank.
