Seal in shape of a duck, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, early, ca. 1550–1450 B.C., From Egypt, Steatite (glazed), h. 1 cm (3/8 in); w. 1.3 cm (1/2 in), These two stamp seals, one in the shape of a duck and one in the shape of a cat are inscribed with the cartouche of Amenhotep I, the second king of Dynasty 18. Amenhotep I and his mother, Ahmose-Nefertari, were the patrons of the Theban necropolis, the series of royal and non-royal cemeteries located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the modern city of Luxor
