Semifollis of Iustinian I or Iustinus II, G Bronze, stamped, Total: Diameter: 2.6 cm (2.1 - 2.6 cm), Inscription: X, Coins, Late Antiquity, Early Byzantine Art, The Semifollis shows on the obverse (obverse) the enthroned imperial couple. On the left is the emperor, probably with globe and cross, on the right his wife. Both show a nimbus. The circumferential inscription DN IUSTI[n] is only incompletely preserved. The reverse side (lapel) shows the dominant stamp K (20) with an applied cross and the inscriptions ANNO on the left and XIII on the right. The coin was minted in the 13th year of the emperor's reign. Only Iustinian I. (ruled 527-565 AD) and Iustin II. (ruled 565-578 AD) are the only ones that can be considered emperors, due to the combination of the year of reign and the preserved remains of the name on the obverse.
