Sepulchral monument, Giuseppe Barberi, Italian, 1746–1809, Pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash on paper, Probably for the young Pretender Charles Edward Stuart, who died in 1788. Steps lead to a platform upon whose corners are oblong pedestals with sitting female figures. Between the pedestals is a woman with sitting female figures. Between the pedestals is a woman shown from the front sitting upon the platform and pointing at the inscription at the sarcophagus which rises behind her. Above it is a circular pedestal with a band above its frieze similar to 1938-88-1263. On top is a huge statue.
