Sheet from the Papyrus of Amenhotep, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, ca. 1479–1425 B.C., From Egypt, Upper Egypt, Thebes, Papyrus, ink, pigment, H. 34.9 cm (13 3/4 in.); W. 33.7 cm (13 1/4 in.), Two fragments of a Book of the Dead papyrus belonged to a man named Amenhotep who was overseer of the builders of Amun. One fragment preserves parts of Chapters 42 and 64.
