Soldier on guard with a rudder grabbing his fuse (no. 38), c. 1600, A soldier on guard, full-length, to the right, holding a rudder (a particular type of firearm) with his left hand. In his left hand, in addition to the rudder, there is a burning fuse (no. 38), c. 1600. With his right hand he picks up this fuse. This is therefore the same position as the one shown in the fifth print of the series.
