Strip of bobbin lace with carnations in flowerpot and v-shaped bouquet, Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Parisian pot lace. The repeating pattern consists of a simply designed flowerpot with small ears, in which is a symmetrical bouquet. The flowers in the bouquet increase in size from the top, ending on either side of the pot with a large overhanging carnation. Between the successive flower pots there is a v-shaped bouquet along the top, with a loose rosette flower directly below. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, the Paris ground. The motifs are made in linen with thicker and shiny contour threads. Various decorative grounds have been applied, including in the flower pot, the flower hearts and in between the flowers. The upper side is finished with a separately banded strap, the pattern runs partly through it, probably the upper edge was once damaged and a new strap was added. The bottom is finished straight and provided with picots., anonymous, c. 1750 - c. 1799, linen (material), bobbin lace, l 250 cm × w 10 cm ×, 17 cm
