Strip of bobbin lace with female breast statue and dolphin, Strip of natural-colored Brussels bobbin lace. The pattern consists of many small motifs, with the female breast figure, a little to the right of the middle, and the water-spouting dolphin, on the left side of the strip, the most striking. Along the underside, mostly c-shaped motifs are linked together to form an edge with scallops. The motifs are connected to each other by a braid ground, with poached braids. The motifs are made in linen with cut-outs, partly with open-worked edges and partly with clotted relief contours. Various decorative grounds were used in the motifs, including a decorative ground with squares made in shape. The top is finished straight. The scallops on the bottom are finished with picots., anonymous, Southern Netherlands, c. 1680 - c. 1720, linen (material), Brussels bobbin lace, l 29 cm × w 7.5 cm
