Strip of bobbin lace with rose twigs, Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Valenciennes lace. The repeating pattern on the center line of the strip consists of a rosette flower that hangs down on a curved branch. Above the row of rose branches that is created in this way is a row of thick c-shaped leaves. Along the underside of the strip is a succession of elongated volutes that form a very faint scallop edge. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a round Valenciennes ground. The motifs are made in linen with openwork edges and a recess in the flower heart. The top of the strip is finished straight. The faint scallops along the bottom are finished with picots.
