The repeating pattern covers only the lower half of the strip and consists of juxtaposed v-shaped branches, with small oval leaves and one ear of corn. The tenuous branches spring from a line along the bottom of the strip, which forms a single oval between them. The motifs are connected by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch, with thicker and shiny contour threads. The ears of corn are filled with a row of cubes, made in molded stitch.
