Strip of machine-made lace with three-leaf on a stem that curls twice, Strip of natural-colored machine-made lace: machine-made Brussels duchesse. The repeating pattern consists of a three-leaf with a twice-curling stem that lies along the bottom of the strip. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork borders and contour threads. The successive leaves with stems are connected by a machine braided ground. A block is made in the first loop that makes the curling stem, suggesting a bobbled form stroke. The top of the strip is finished straight.
