Strip of spool lace cartouches between slanted turned tires, Strip of natural Brussels spool lace. The pattern consists of three arches of slanted twisted bands topped by a lobed cartridge and connected at the bottom by a bell-shaped cartridge. After the three arcs, the twisted bands turn into concatenated ovals that also form an arc and are cut by flowers and leaves from the bottom of the strip. A flower branch hangs down from the cartouche in each arch. Three separate flower branches hang between the arches. The motifs are largely made in linen with openwork edges, but otherwise with few recesses. Some flower hearts and petals and the like are made in net stroke. Most motifs are provided with cloned relief contours. The motifs are connected by a fine grid ground, a drochel ground. As ornamental ground, fine snow flakes are used in the twisted bands and braided in the cartouches and between the flower sprays. The top is finished straight. The irregular scalloped bottom is finished with picots., anonymous, Brussels, c. 1760 - c. 1770, linen (material), Brussels bobbin lace, l 75 cm × w 8 cm
