Strip of spool lace with scalloped edge of alternately a rosette flower and a five-lobed leaf, Strip of natural spool lace, Cluny lace. The repeating pattern consists of a rosette flower and a slanting five-lobed leaf along the underside of the strip. The consecutive flowers and leaves are placed against each other and together form a scallop edge. Above the center line a kind of zigzag line has been created with obliquely placed elongated motifs, each crowned by three oval motifs. The motifs are made in loosely worked linen with double contour threads. They are connected to each other by a diamond-shaped mesh ground, formed by pictured braids. In the center of the five-lobed leaf are cubes made in form. The top of the strip is finished straight.
