Tankard Beer mug Beer mug, painted with chinoiseries, Beer mug of red Böttger stoneware, with a silver lid and foot ring. The cylindrical pulse is completely polished. The foot edge protrudes slightly, while the mouth edge indents. The cold-painted decoration in gold consists of chinoiseries on a console of bandwork and leaf vines. From left to right on the console: a table on which a boy with a parasol stands, a Chinese on a chair with a high back that carries a dog, a kneeling figure, a palm tree, a standing figure with a pointed hat and a fan in the left hand and a squat figure accompanied by a boy holding a parasol above his head. Left and right the group is flanked by a tree and a straight console, with two birds with eggs on the left and one bird on the right. A band of c-volutes and dots runs along the edge of the beer mug. The lid is profiled and adorned with drifted lambskin on the curve. In the middle of the lid is a medallion engraved with leaf vines and bandwork and the letters .C.C.V.L. and .E.E.S.V.L ..
