(11.7 cm), Ceramics, Famed throughout China, Jian wares were also exported to Japan, often by Buddhist monks who had visited monasteries in the nearby center at Mount Tianmu. As a result, ceramics with this type of decoration are known in Japan as temmoku, after the Japanese reading of the name of the mountain
