Terracotta kantharos (drinking cup with high handles): two female heads, Archaic, ca. 490–480 B.C., Greek, Attic, Terracotta; red-figure, H. 7 3/4 in. (19.7 cm), Vases, Obverse, satyr playing aulos (double flute), Reverse, satyr playing krotala (castanets). The form and iconography strongly suggest that this vase was used in a symposium (drinking party). The satyrs are particularly winning—they provide entertainment for the gathering and enjoy it at the same time
