Thanks to the diligent tracing work of the Commissariat-General for Dutch Economic Interests in Germany and the Kunstbezit Foundation, it has been possible to recover most of the library of the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam, which had been transported to Germany during the occupation. This library is of particular importance for social-historical science. West of Hannover, two ships have been found with 900 boxes belonging to the Institute. These ships have now arrived in Amsterdam. Another part is still in Klagenfurt in Austria.
