Thetis as a nereid or sea nymph with a pitcher, shell and fish, possibly a dolphin. The inscription NEPEIS AEQVOREAS INTER CELEBEB[RI]MA MATEES praises her as one of the most famous of the so-called mothers of the sea. Copy after a print by Giovanni Jacopo Caraglio. The text does not entirely correspond to the original because damaged letters have been incorrectly corrected as in the last word where MATRES (mothers) should actually be, Thetis with pitcher and fish Gods and Goddesses (series title)., print maker: Jacob Binck, Giovanni Jacopo Caraglio, Germany, 1530, paper, engraving, h 212 mm × w 108 mm
