Three windmills for drawing water Windmill for drawing water, On a rectangular plate with beveled corners, are the front and rear wall of a mill. The walls are cut open and bear the pivot on which the blades turn. The blades are toothed. There is a bird on top of every wall in the mill. The edge of the plate is decorated. There is a hole in the plate through which a rope runs that is attached to the spindle and which can make the blades rotate by pulling on it. The mill is marked: mt. = Foot 443 and an ax, windmill, Johannes van Somerwil (I) (attributed to), Amsterdam, 1760, silver (metal), h 7.2 cm × w 3.7 cm × d 2 cm
