The chest has a bombarded front and stands on a low plinth that is accoladed to form a skirt. The shield-shaped mirror is attached by two screws to two vertical supports that extend into the back of the chest. The mirror is topped by an urn with tendrils on either side. Coffin and mirror are covered with black lacquer and decorated with gold lacquer. On the coffin pavilions in a landscape are painted (heavily faded at the top). The mirror frame and supports are decorated with grapevines on a geometric pattern.
