The title 'España' appears on the front cover, in copper letters. The endpapers are covered with a green woven fabric with a changeant motif. The album contains 39 sheets of gold cut with 54 photos and 2 prints. The objects are partly inserted and partly glued on. The album was probably compiled by an unknown traveler through Spain. Given the French captions, possibly a Frenchman. They are mainly recordings of works of art that were exhibited in the Prado in Madrid at the time: paintings by Titian, B.E. Murillo, Velázques, G. B. Salvi, G. Reni, J. Pantoja de la Cruz, D. Crespi and J. de Juanes and shields and goblets. Also recordings of sights in cities such as Granada, Burgos, Salamanca, Avila, Madrid and Toledo.
