The Underground found in dunes near Overveen a mass grave of 104 executed resistance fighters. The government initiated an investigation. The exhumations took place in the presence of Mr. H.A. Wassenbergh (right) while the corpses were identified by the doctors M.B.E. Nilant (pathologist-anatomist at the Binnengasthuis in Amsterdam) and the well-known doctor S.P.L.
