The horses in front of the chariot are flanked by the virtues of Justice (Justitia), Strength (Fortitudo), Moderation (Temperantia) and Prudence (Prudentia). In front of the chariot walk the members of the States-General, defeated Spaniards and city maidens of 's-Hertogenbosch and Wesel. In the sky the Fame and the Nassau Heroic Heaven with William of Orange, Maurice, the German Emperor, the French King Henry IV and Johan van Oldenbarnevelt.
