She has her right arm around the child and carries in her right hand a bowl, pointing at it with her left hand. Behind the Child is the globe with a cross on top. Below are the upper parts of a Doric column and a piece of the frieze, and a tablet leaning against it. In front of the tablet stands a pitcher. In the background is a structure with a tower. The sun is visible. This part of the background is framed by the larger part of a circle, the space between it and the outer framing line being hatched.
