The image shows a king on horseback fleeing from Death, with the city of Munster in the background. Below the image a Dutch verse in two columns, signed at the end with the motto 'Deugd, baart Rust'. The print was printed from an old plate (left) cut off by Hendrick Hondius from 1644 with a representation of the inevitability of death.
